Ex works our factory in Semarang, Indonesia or otherwise mentioned in our quotations.
For ex works factory orders, goods must be picked up within 2 weeks of the order completion date as notified, otherwise storage charges may be imposed. Delays resulting from late payments and shipment delays will result in accrual of storage charges which will be required to be paid in full before the release of goods.
For Ex-works Singapore warehouse orders, goods must be picked up within 2 days (weekends inclusive) from date of notification. Delays in pick-up will result in accrual of storage charges which will be required to be paid in full before the release of goods.
Our prices do not include local white-glove delivery unless otherwise quoted and confirmed by Christopher Guy office.
Christopher Guy office may at the Customer’s request provide quotation for local white glove delivery services sourced from 3rd party logistics vendors.
While we can provide quotations, Christopher Guy does not guarantee the services of these 3rd party vendors. Christopher Guy will exercise reasonable efforts to evaluate the vendors prior to recommending their services and sending their quotations to the Customer. The Customer will not hold Christopher Guy office liable if the service provided by the 3rd party vendors does not meet Customer’s expectations. It remains at the Customer’s own discretion and risk should the Customer opts to accept the delivery quotation from Christopher Guy.
Christopher Guy office agrees to quote for delivery on the understanding that reasonable access is available.
Our local delivery quote does not include carpentry tasks such as wall drilling, alterations, or the installation of hangers/screws to walls or electrical installation for lighting pieces, We will perform unpacking and simple assembly work such as attaching legs/base to the table, connecting the sectional sofas, beds etc. according to the models ordered, and disposal of packing materials. Screws and wall anchors for fixing to the wall/ ceiling are not provided as they must be selected for the specified wall/ceiling material by the installing contractor.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that their premises are accessible to facilitate the delivery of their ordered items. Customers are advised to measure their lifts, doorways, passageways to ensure their ordered items will fit through them, providing clear and safe access leading to the delivery location.
Additional charges will be incurred for stair carrying, both within the premises and between floors, should the item not fit into the lift and require manual labor to carry up to the delivery location. Please note that this service is limited to carrying up a maximum of 5 storeys /floors within the same premise/ building.
Our Delivery Vendor reserves the right to refuse or halt delivery if the space is deemed unsafe/hazardous or inaccessible. (i.e. items prone to damage on narrow stairways, obstruction of passageways etc). Our Delivery Vendor will not remove or uninstall any doors/door frames, window panes/window frames or any house fixtures for Customer during the delivery.
If there are obstructions to direct lift access experienced during delivery, our Delivery Vendor will assess whether it is possible to perform carry-up service on the spot (and bill the charges later) or to reschedule delivery. This is dependent on the number of items to be delivered, manpower, hazard assessment as well as other operational considerations.
Our Delivery Vendor reserves the right to refuse or cancel carry-up service for any item that exceeds 80 kg if they deem the weight poses hazardous risk. In this case, the Customer can arrange their own self carry or alternative delivery but Christopher Guy office will not be responsible for any damage to the items. A transport fee may still be charged to the Customer if this cancelation takes place when the Delivery Vendor has already reached the delivery location. To avoid such cases, customers should check and measure their space, lifts, doorways, passageways at time of ordering.
For landed property, if the ordered items cannot fit through the ground level door entrance/ doorway or stair carrying inside the house is not possible ( ie. carrying of furniture from ground floor to other levels ) , please discuss with our Christopher Guy sales representative / office for alternative delivery solutions before delivery.
The Customer is responsible to protect their flooring, walls and other surfaces during the delivery process, the Delivery Vendor will not be liable for any damages caused to the property except in cases of negligence.
The Customer must clear the space before their ordered item arrives. Our Delivery Vendor will not move or remove any existing furniture from the premises.
Disposal of existing furniture or used furniture is not included in our delivery service unless agreed and quoted.
The Customer is responsible for submitting and the application of any delivery permit or approval required by their building management to facilitate the delivery process.
If delivery cannot be completed due to the customer’s absence, lack of access, refusal of entry by building management or other reasons not caused by Christopher Guy or its Delivery Vendor, a re-delivery fee will apply to reschedule a new delivery date.
Christopher Guy office and its Delivery Vendor will make reasonable efforts to deliver the order on the agreed date and time slot, but delays due to traffic, weather or any other circumstances beyond our control may occur. The Customer will be notified of any changes in the delivery timing.
The Customer must inspect all items at the time of delivery. Upon signing acceptance of the delivery order, it will be treated that the condition of the goods is accepted by Customer. Any damage(s) detected should be immediately reported to us and noted on the delivery copy. Any claims or discrepancies made after the delivery team has left the premises will be subjected to Christopher Guy’s review and may not be honored.
Each Christopher Guy piece is individually hand-finished, and slight variations between the finish samples and the completed pieces may occur due to factors such as carving details, surface area, wood grains, antique/distressed effect etc. Leather may have scar and bite marks and variations in texture, all of which are inherent characteristics of leather. Such differences are to be expected as part of the artisanal process and are not considered defects.
